Fishing Seasons
Lets Go Fishing!
The WALLEYES in the Wolf River are very active the end of April and we can usually find fish all of April and into May and sometimes
there is a fall WALLEYE and crappie run. We have learned a new wolf River fly technique that is dynamite for walleyes and white bass.
Often we do not even use a minnow just the fly. After the river “walleye run” we can turn to the lakes for walleye. Note: There are
so many walleyes in the river that the DNR took off the 15” size limit.
WHITE BASS can be caught in late April
and May. We sometimes find them in Poygan or Winnebago later. We can fill a cooler on many of our white bass trips.
From
May until mid September we can find LARGE MOUTH or SMALL MOUTH BASS. I have won one or more Bass Tournaments on most of the lakes
and rivers in this area.
NORTHERNS, we seem to find them regularly from May until September. The end of summer can
bring some huge northerns in shallow water. The northerns are so big we actually cast musky lures with some real rod bending action.
Unfortunately,
MUSKYS are not common in the immediate area but in June, July, or August a little travel can put us on some good numbers Musky water.
In the fall we might find bigger fish and we also have connections to get you on the tremendous SPOTTED MUSKY fishing in Green Bay.
Get
a few dates cleared and we can have fun and get you and a friend or two on some great fishing.
